I don't care if spongebob is gay, this is wrong

Apparently after 35 years, Sesame Street has come to believe that they are responsible for the rise in obesity in children. So to remedy this, they have made some changes to everyone's favorite glutton Cookie Monster. Click here for story. Now our beloved blue eating machine will no longer sing "C is for Cookie" but instead will opine "A cookie is sometimes food."

But of course this is a lie. A cookie is always food. Instead of changing a long standing character from a caloric vacuum to a paragon of restraint, they should introduce a new muppet. Now how about Eddie the Vole, he will simply pop up at random times and shout "Turn off the damn TV and go outside!"

Yes, that is right. Cookie Monster is responsable for all of America's obesity. Of course, why didn't I think of that before? I love cookies. It must be because of Sesame Street and all of those bad little muppets!

Man, in the recent future we've had bizarre questions about kid shows. There was the whole Spongebob is gay thing. Then came Buster the Bunny talking to two women who live together in Vermont. And now Cookie Monster is causing all the obesity in America. What's next, Oscar the Grouch has to go to anger management classes or someone catches Arthur behind the shed with a bunch of dirty magazines and a 5th of vodka?

No. Oscar the grouch is insulting to the homeless who have no choice but to live in garbage cans. But I do suspect that Big Bird is on steroids. I mean just look at him, he's huge.

Maybe we just stop showing the "10 banana cream pies!" guy?

Rather than anger management, shouldn't we explore the reasons WHY Oscar The Grouch is angry? Could it possibly be THAT HE LIVES IN A TRASH CAN?!

If you get the chance, check out the recent musical "Avenue Q", or its soundtrack. Muppet-like puppet characters singing about racism, homosexuality and masturbation is just plain fun!
