CNN reported this afternoon that a preacher died while giving a sermon. Click Here for the story The story states that the last words the preacher spoke were "And when I go to heaven...,".

Believe it or not, we ordained folk actually dream about this stuff: not "dream" as in "aspire to", more like "wonder if it would happen". The most legendary litugical death has got to be of a certain priest and liturgical scholar of the twentieth century - it may have been Dom Gregory Dix, but I'm not positive - who keeled over dead singing the exsultet, the canticle at the beginning of the Easter Vigil. Other priests have died at the great elevation during the Eucharistic prayer. Not something that you look forward to, but also not a bad way to go, all things considered.
