A rose by any other name...
Well I decided to name the beers from last week's brew. The Porter will be Cardinal Sin Porter and the small beer will be Venial Sin Mild.

Very cool names - I like the connecting point of cardinal/venial.
So, 'mild' is a real style descripter, or are you using some brewer license here?

Mild is a style. Normally it denotes a brown ale or an ordinary bitter. go to http://www.bjcp.org/finalstyles/2004BJCPGuidelines.pdf for beer styles
