Scooter the songbird
On Friday, Scooter's third birthday, we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. They loved it. We enjoyed it. We had a coupon, two hours for $20. And they came home really tired.
On the way to Chuck E Cheese, we were driving in the van and the CD in the player was one of Sarah's mixes. The first song was "American Pie". Catchy tune. Don't know all the words, but I know the chorus pretty well. And so does Scooter. Cause out of the back seat comes "dadaadadada this will be the day that I die." And she's got pretty good pitch too.
I thought that was impressive. But on Sunday she did even better. The Church that we are joining in Tulsa is Christ The Redeemer LCMS. Scooter doesn't pay much attention during the service. She colors and plays in the pew. The service is quite different from Concordia, they believe in high church here. We use kneelers and the pastor sings the Introit and Kryie. This Sunday as Scooter was looking at the coloring books, I realized she was singing the Kryie. The pastor's part.
